Zheng Lu

Exhibited extensively within China and internationally, Chinese artist Zheng Lu is known for his iconic gravity-defying sculptural works exploring fluidity, movement and energy.

Commissioned to create a site-specific sculpture for the Shanghai MixC commercial development in China, Zheng’s work, titled 澄澈 (Clarity) appears to emerge weightless from the water feature beneath.

Fabricated in mirror polished stainless-steel, 澄澈 (Clarity) shimmers throughout the day representing air-born liquid frozen in motion.

UAP curated the Shanghai CRLand MixC development and worked closely with the artist from concept design through to fabrication. Standing at a monumental 7 metres tall and 4 metres wide, the bespoke form of 澄澈 (Clarity) is meticulously hand fabricated at the UAP Shanghai workshop.
