Nike Savvas

A Lifetime of Summers is Nike Savvas’ latest collaboration with UAP. Commissioned by Lendlease, the artwork is a kinetic and immersive installation for ‘The Exchange’, an iconic building in Sydney’s Haymarket designed by renowned Japanese architects Kengo
Kuma & Associates.

Known for her works that explore physical and sensory experiences, Savvas’ site specific work is comprised of thousands of coloured rectangular tabs that are suspended on fine cables to simulate celebratory confetti. A graceful and elegant experience, the work becomes a softly moving field of colour that creates an ever-shifting dynamic engagement between the viewer and the work. 

UAP was engaged by Lendlease to assist the artist with the design, fabrication and installation of the artwork, implementing augmented reality technology to manage the complexities of the installation on site.
