#Flame from the Dragon's Pearl

Lindy Lee worked with UAP to cast a series of five editioned bronze works each titled Flame from the Dragon’s Pearl.

Lee’s Flames are related to the tradition of Chinese scholar rocks, which were formed by the immense natural geological forces of the earth. Each is the result of the elemental: they are forms shaped from the volatile combination of fire and water. Molten metal is poured into cool water to produce spontaneous shapes and these shapes become the basis for the work. Each form retains the fluid energy of both fire and water that was necessary in creation.

Lindy Lee is represented by Sullivan + Strumpf and Sutton Gallery.
