Benjamin Storch

Benjamin Storch is an Australian artist renowned for his undulating, free flowing sculptures. With works installed over the globe, Storch has an innate ability to create iconic works that respond to the surrounding natural environment and architecture.

Installed at the west entrance of Lingang Group’s Shanghai Lingang Tech City is Evolve. This site-specific work is inspired by orbital systems, and traces out a trajectory reminiscent of the spin of electrons around a nucleus. It is a combination of elements of wave motions and vortex flows.

This work was commissioned by Lingang Group as a result of a public art masterplan and strategy developed by UAP’s Shanghai consultancy team. Evolve was made in UAP’s Shanghai workshop using panel beaten stainless steel and finished with a gold automotive paint.
