Nike Savvas worked with UAP to develop and deliver a captivating suspended light-well installation, entitled Colours are the Country, for the Macquarie Group’s global headquarters located at 50 Martin Place, Sydney.
Savvas’ commission responds in a sophisticated way to the Client’s brief by not only re-branding the property (an old bank), but by also encapsulating the theme of the Macquarie Group Collection –‘The land and its psyche’. Savvas’ work celebrates the land, its energy and spirit with a vibrant array of kinetic colour, formed from hundreds of rotating coloured discs, cascading through the building’s light-well.
