#Chrysalis

NINGBO, CHINA

Cambodian artist Sopheap Pich’s work is a symbol of possibility, new beginnings
and transformation. The artist draws parallels between nature’s chrysalis and this new international development. The IFC is a place where many innovative businesses reside, and a place where ideas incubate, dispersing throughout the world.

The twelve metre tall work has been manufactured in hand-formed copper sheet and
is suspended in a key pedestrian void that connects 4 key levels of the development. The work, viewed from the spiralling staircase that surrounds it, or from the elevator as you move past it, contributes to the creation of a truly dramatic architectural space.
