We have an exceptional career opportunity for an Arabic-speaking Curator based in Riyadh to join our team to support our global reputation as a leading international company for public art.

You will be contributing to exciting and innovative art strategies, art masterplans and art opportunity reports for public art projects, supporting the development of curatorial rationales, supporting the curation of artist selections and assisting in liaising with national and international artists, to expand UAP’s reputation as a leading international company for public art. This role will interface daily with the UAP Australia Curatorial team and opportunities will be available for travel between the two regions.

About You

You will be passionate about, and have knowledge of, contemporary art practice and its application to the public realm with a sound knowledge of emerging and established artists and designers. This position provides you with the opportunity work with leading UAP and independent public art curators, in the curation of public art projects of significance on a global scale.


What You Need to Succeed

As a minimum, the successful candidate will have Arabic-speaking skills, hold a degree or higher qualification in Visual Arts/Design, Art History, Curatorial Studies or similar, with some previous experience working in the creative industries (public art experience highly desirable), and will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Knowledge of contemporary public art practices nationally and internationally
  • Sound knowledge of contemporary artists and designers nationally and internationally
  • High level communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines, in a high-pressure creative environment
  • Ability to be a proactive team member
  • A strong desire to work collaboratively with a passionate and dedicated team willing to do whatever it takes to deliver projects on time in a fast-changing environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and general administration skills
  • Good analytical and creative problem-solving skills
  • A demonstrated ability to write creatively, with excellent research skills
  • An eye for crafting distinctive visual presentations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office as a minimum with knowledge of InDesign highly desirable
